Roy Froemming provides legal advocacy and consulting to individuals, attorneys and nonprofit organizations on issues related to improving the lives of people with disabilities. His practice includes creation and use of supplemental needs trusts, and matters concerning homeownership, guardianship, and Medicaid eligibility and coverage.
Mr. Froemming’s background includes work as: co-director of the first elder benefit specialist program in Wisconsin; managing attorney for developmental disabilities advocacy at the Wisconsin Coalition for Advocacy; coordinator of a project to promote self-determination for people with disabilities; volunteer president of a community housing development organization; and primary drafter of a pooled trust to hold homes for people with disabilities. He has spoken and written widely on issues related to public benefits, estate planning, long-term support, homeownership, guardianship and protective services. Mr. Froemming is an honors graduate of Yale College and the University of Wisconsin Law School.
